Hold-up!

Last week at Le Camping, we organized a “hold-up” with Kiva en Français (a non-profit organization which connects people through lending); MakeSense, which connects social entrepreneurs with individuals ready to take up their challenges; and HappyLife, created by Humanogames, a Facebook game born with the same idea of helping social entrepreneurs : the virtual players help social entrepreneurs in real life.

What exactly is a “Hold Up”?

It’s a tried and true method of brainstorming.

The goal is to extract original ideas from a group of about 15 people, revolving around a specific theme. This time it was all about reinventing the overall communication at HappyLife.

Happy Life, not a “serious game”!

So, HappyLife is by no means just a “serious game”, but actually a lot of fun, though it does also have a strong social utility. It’s an open market as 50% of the 800 milions people who use Facebook play it.

The idea is that a person playing HappyLife wins ‘happy cash’, virtual currency, which can be shared around by entrepreneurs, actual entrepreneurs in this case, thanks to private partners such as Babyloan.org and Kiva.
