Broaden your horizons with partners

Right from the beginning of the season, the Campers meet with Le Camping’s major partners: Google, the SNCF and BNP Paribas.

During these speed-dating, one half of the equation discovers an innovative world, the other, young innovative startups, envisaging solid paths towards collaboration.

What might my technology bring to this group and its specific issues?“… that must be the question on their lips!

Iterate to find the concrete application case for their technology

This doesn’t mean twisting your product in any which way in order to please a large group, but to open yourself up at a point when many of the startups are yet to even see the concrete application case for their technology, nor have they determined who their users will be… nor to whom, nor how, nor where they will sell their product!

So, of course, you have to code away, to construct the product, but what lessons can be gleaned from Lean are, after all, to know when to put the productive activity on the back-burner to determine, firstly, the path to be taken.

To determine and stabilize the path to be taken, there is just one known solution : iterate, iterate, test, explore and gather varying opinions.

A stimulating exercice

It is an exercise in imagination that is interesting for them and what’s more something that might just give way to fruitful and solid partnerships.

An incredible amount of seeds are sown on Le Camping soil during these speed-dating sessions, who knows where they might lead, but in order to find out, you have to play the game.

Kawet, Mesagraph and Doctrackr have all taken this path, and shown how to come out winners.

First speed-dating session of the third season with the SNCF!

Directors of innovation and other heads of departments dedicated to innovation were present (Information Architects, Supervisory Units, New Usages Managers, Innovative Marketing etc.).

That special something on offer at Le Camping is a “group of top-notch people, with a short time frame, with a common goal, succeeding in developing a product that people will use, in just 6 months.

What’s more, there’s no denying that there’s power in numbers and working together provides greater visibility, particularly in the media. The numerous tools seemed to have inspired the managers at the SNCF, appreciating the quality of the services and sometimes by the demos, such as that of Augment!
