Skerou is a tale of three young entrepreneurs : Gregory was sick and tired of losing track of all his purchases and having to make shopping list upon shopping list, only to head back to the supermarket to buy those forgotten groceries… not to mention wasting time cutting out coupons for discount items!

Having been joined by David, over the last 12 months these three IT musketeers, who have vowed to put the power back into the hands of the consumer, have been working away, slaving away, wasting away, in order to develop a highly innovative program which is able, through nothing more than a photo of a receipt, to analyze, understand and record any information regarding purchases, in order to give them back to the consumer in the form of services
“There you have it, the killer feature from Skerou, to break down the contents of your shopping cart, you need only take a photo of your receipt, the application does the rest“, says a journalist from French news channel LCI.
Trough Skerou, consumers can put together their future shopping lists and take advantage of a range of special promotions.
Well, I tried, the application is quite impressive. “It may seem like magic“, says Grégory Thurin, President at Skerou, “but behind the scenes there is some seriously complex technology to go from a photo of a receipt to the understanding of the purchases found in the shopping cart“.
